Alison is a costume designer, colorologist, and avant-garde artist. That’s when I traveled across the country to study fashion design atFIDMin Los Angeles, where I lived for four amazing years. Upon graduation, she rapidly began to grow her network while coordinating fashion shows, events, and interning as a stylist with the Margaret Maldonado Agency. She began working independently shortly after and worked closely with various industry professionals.
I have been a fashion stylist and designer since 2009, although I should note that currently my work as a designer is used for photoshoots, artistic purposes, custom made pieces for my own wardrobe, as well as for others by request. My decision to expand my work as a stylist and designer, by incorporating in-depth articles was prompted by my passion for writing, which began when I was 6 years old; I enjoyed re-creating my own versions of short stories and fairytales.
The name for my site, “Cloudsugar Style”, was originally part of an inside jokeformed between me and one particular friend. Inspired by nature, shape, texture, materials and colors, I focus primarily on self expression, aesthetics and movement. Clouds in the sky are the only place where I have the ability to watch a couture gown slowly evolve into the Eiffel Tower, and then gradually assume the shape of a swan all in less than 30 minutes. Moreover, at the end of the day they morph into a natural display of beautiful color combinations.
While I have wardrobed a mixed bag of models, celebrities, and public figures, everything I piece together comes from my own inspirations, and self-expression, ultimately telling a dynamic and compelling story.
